CHALLANGE
Atlast Dollar Deals faced a major bottleneck in its daily inventory update process, relying on manual CSV uploads and image transfers.
A dedicated staff member was required to extract product data and images from Windward System 5—an outdated, labor-intensive approach that consumed valuable time and increased the risk of human error. This inefficiency hindered the company’s ability to keep its online inventory accurate and up to date, often leading to delays, discrepancies, and lost sales opportunities.
To address this, Atlast Dollar Deals needed a more efficient and reliable system that could automate updates with minimal manual intervention. The goal was clear: reduce operational workload, cut costs, and maintain real-time accuracy across their eCommerce platform.
Streamlining and automating their inventory management process became essential to improving overall performance and enhancing customer satisfaction.
SOLUTION
Our team performed in-depth R&D on Atlast Dollar Deals’ existing system, Windward System 5, uncovering its API as a key integration pathway.
Utilizing the System 5 API, we built a direct and automated link between their local software and the cloud-based website, enabling real-time synchronization of inventory, new products, and order data—eliminating the need for manual updates.
On the customer-facing side, we introduced features such as a POS-style ordering interface, rich product catalogs, and streamlined account management. For administrators, we developed powerful backend tools including dashboard analytics, user and role management, inventory categorization, and detailed order and invoice tracking.
To further enhance efficiency, we implemented automated cron jobs for routine data sync and system maintenance, significantly reducing manual tasks and ensuring smooth operations.
RESULTS
Integrating the System 5 API revolutionized Atlast Dollar Deals’ operations by automating daily updates and drastically reducing manual workload.
The enhanced system improved inventory accuracy on the website and freed up internal resources for higher-value tasks. For child stores, it delivered a smoother experience with real-time data, streamlined ordering, and precise inventory visibility—resulting in faster fulfillment and higher customer satisfaction.
